Samp Women come from behind to beat Pomigliano
Sampdoria picked up a second straight win on Sunday afternoon, beating Pomigliano 2-1 to maintain their 100% record at the start of this season. Once again, Antonio Cincotta’s players had to come from behind to secure the victory.
Taty gave the away side an early lead, applying a near post finish to beat Amanda Tampieri between the Doria sticks on 10 minutes. The Blucerchiate took 15 minutes to haul themselves level, as Giorgia Spinelli’s free kick went in off the bar, and reached the interval level pegging.
The victory for Samp came thanks to Yoreli Rincon’s penalty kick on 69 minutes. She converted from the spot after Tarenzi was fouled in the box and Doria held on to make it two wins from two at the start of this new campaign.
