Tarenzi: “I’ll use my experience to help Samp Women”
The first goal of the Sampdoria Women season was scored by Stefano Tarenzi, with the new Doria captain handing Antonio Cincotta’s side victory in the recent three-way friendly tournament with AC Milan and Servette.
The Samp faithful will be hoping that strike proves to be a sign of things to come from Tarenzi, who is determined to do all she can to rise to the challenge of being the first-ever captain of Sampdoria Women.
“It’s an honour to be the first Sampdoria Women captain,” said Tarenzi, speaking from the squad’s pre-season training camp. “In a short space of time, the group has been able to get to know each other and come together. My aim is to help my team-mates to progress. I can promise the Samp fans that we’ll never give less than 100%.”
