Bereszynski and Gabbiadini back in training

The Sampdoria first-team squad enjoyed an afternoon session in Bogliasco on Tuesday as preparations for the clash with Monza on Sunday at the Ferraris got under way. Bartosz Bereszynski and Manolo Gabbiadini were back on site while other internationals such as Filip Djuricic, Tomas Rincon and Abdelhamid Sabiri are set to return to the Mugnaini in the coming days. Marco Giampaolo and his staff led a training session focusing on activations, technical drills and a small-sided game. Harry Winks spent the first half of the session with his team-mates before training individually in a bid to get back to full fitness. Manual De Luca continued his own recovery programme.

Before getting started, there was a routine meeting with a representative from the Italian Referees’ Association. Referee Davide Ghersini from Genoa explained to those in attendance the latest information with regard to rules and how they are to be interpreted.

Another afternoon session is scheduled for Wednesday.
