Dragusin “honoured” to be first Romanian to play for Samp
Radu Dragusin is the first Romanian player ever to don the colours of Sampdoria.
And the young defender – who joined the Blucerchiati on loan this summer – is well-aware of the size of the opportunity before him.
“It’s an honour for me,” he said. “I’d like to that the club and the president for the opportunity. I’m desperate to show what I can do and what I’ve made of.”
Dragusin has already played at Marassi – his first and only Serie A appearance, for Juventus, came in a match away at Genoa on 13 December 2020.
“My debut against Genoa was a really great moment for me,” he said. “Even though there were no fans there, I felt the pressure of playing in Serie A – it was a thrill. [Leonardo] Bonucci and [Giorgio] Chiellini have always helped me, plus training with people like [Cristiano] Ronaldo or [Fabio] Quagliarella only helps you to progress. Now I want to do that here.”
