Candreva and Quagliarella lead appearances charts since 2009/10

Antonio Candreva and Fabio Quagliarella are among the most experienced players still playing in Serie A, according to stats from Opta.

Candreva – who is in his first season with Sampdoria – has made more Serie A appearances than any other outfield player since the 2009/10 season, with 386 in total (27 of which have come for the Blucerchiati this season). Candreva’s other Serie A appearances came during his time with Livorno, Juventus, Parma, Cesena, Lazio and Inter.

Next come Leonardo Bonucci, Radja Nainggolan and Rodrigo Palacio, while Quagliarella ranks fifth. The Samp captain has made 349 appearances in Italy’s top flight since 2009/10, including 181 for Doria. Overall, Quagliarella has made an impressive 495 appearances in Serie A, which gives him 17th place in the all-time Serie A appearance charts.
