High-tempo session ahead of the derby

The team were back at the training ground for a busy morning’s work on Tuesday, with the 105th Derby della Lanterna just over 24 hours away.

After a lengthy team meeting in the video room, Claudio Ranieri and the coaching staff took the players outside to direct training on pitch 2.

The squad began together with a rigorous warm-up, followed by rondos and technical drills.

Afterwards, the players who have played most minutes recently did recovery work while the others played high-tempo training games on a small pitch.

Meanwhile Ernesto Torregrossa pushed on with his recovery programme in the pool and in the gym.

The Blucerchiati will have a final training session on Wednesday morning, after which Ranieri will confirm his matchday squad.
