Torregrossa: “I can’t wait to celebrate in front of the fans”

Ernesto Torregrossa has spoken of his pride at joining Sampdoria after completing his switch from Brescia on Tuesday.

“Samp is a glorious club,” said the forward in his first interview as a Doria player. “I’m here to do my bit for my team-mates and the coach. I want to continue developing and realise my potential in Serie A. There have been some great forwards that have worn the No.9 jersey here, so it’ll be an honour for me to wear it too. As an opponent, I was always impressed by the Ferraris – right now the fans can’t be there, but I hope to celebrate with them soon in front of the Sud.”
