Silva: “I’m close to 100%. Great performance today”

Adrien Silva is a man on the up. Having spent a long time without any competitive action prior to joining Samp, the forward believes he’s now getting back to his best after starting back-to-back games for the first time, against Verona and Crotone.

“I’m trying to get my fitness 100% and I’m close to it now,” he revealed. “I’ll keep working harder and harder to reach my very best level and help the team.”

The European champion added that he always felt Samp would start picking up the results again as the performances were always there.

“I think we deserved more from our recent games but today we got the points we needed.

“Our confidence was still intact because we were playing well enough to get the points. We kept the same mentality and now we’ve won our last two. We’re very happy with a great performance.”
