Sampdoria straight back in training

Claudio Ranieri’s Sampdoria squad were back at the training ground on Friday morning following their exit from the Coppa Italia on Thursday night.

After a meeting in the video room, Ranieri divided the squad into two groups. Those involved for all or most of the cup game had a recovery session, while the rest of the players – including Fabio Quagliarella – worked out in the gym and got stuck into some practice games.

Omar Colley had another rest day, while Keita Balde continued working on his recovery programme.

Samp have a morning session scheduled for Saturday.
