Linetty pleased with two-goal contribution to SPAL win

Karol Linetty was in satisfied mood after scoring two of Sampdoria’s three goals in the Blucerchiati’s crucial win over SPAL on Sunday night.

“I’m pleased to have got a brace,” said Linetty. “This was a massive game and we’ve got a 3-0 win. They caused us a few problems in the second half, but we were OK.”

Linetty – who was praised by Ranieri after the game – then turned his attention to Samp’s trip to Atalanta on Wednesday.

“We have another game in two days’ time,” he said. “Physically I feel good. It was nerve-racking watching the side against Lecce because I couldn’t help them. That’s in the past now – we go to Bergamo in a few days and we know we’ll be up against a good side, but we want to win.”
