Samp continue working in two groups in Bogliasco, afternoon session on Saturday

Claudio Ranieri’s Sampdoria squad were back at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini on Friday to continue their preparations for Sunday night’s match against Bologna at Marassi.

The players were split into two groups based on their playing time against Roma in midweek, with those involved for all or most of the game working through a recovery session. Meanwhile, the rest of the squad – including Gonzalo Maroni – had a high-intensity session featuring practice games designed to emphasise pressing.

Fabio Quagliarella continued working on his individual recovery programme, while Alex Ferrari continued to focus on his own return from injury.

Samp will train again late on Saturday afternoon.
