Ramirez and Quagliarella strike as Samp complete comeback at Torino
Sampdoria stunned Torino with three goals in nine second-half minutes to turn the tables and leave Turin with all three points.
After a cagey opening period, Simone Verdi made the most of a Doria mix-up to break the deadlock ten minutes after the restart.
Gaston Ramirez then stepped up to the plate and bagged a brilliant brace inside five minutes: the first a glorious free kick into the top corner and the second a fine finish following Fabio Quagliarella’s layoff.
Just a few minutes passed and Quagliarella was hauled down in the box by Armando Izzo, who was sent off as a result.
The skipper dusted himself down and smashed home to wrap up the points.
