Yoshida, from Japan to Genoa: the shoot at the Chiossone museum
There was no better place for Maya Yoshida to don the Sampdoria jersey for the very first time than the Chiossone Museum of Oriental Art in Villetta Di Negro.
Among the Buddhist sculptures, Samurai weapons and dozens of other Japanese works from various eras, the new Samp defender posed for a video and photo shoot in a truly stunning setting, made possible thanks to the collaboration of the museum directors and the local councillor for culture and the arts Barbara Grosso.
Grosso was there to meet Yoshida in person and pass on the greetings of Genoa mayor Marco Bucci, underlining the close ties between Sampdoria and the institutions as part of efforts to consolidate the sporting, culture and artistic bonds between Genoa and Japan.
