Ekdal: “We’ll take the point, but there’s still work to do”
Unlike his coach, Albin Ekdal was less inclined to see the glass half full, after a match against Sassuolo which the midfielder desperately wanted more from. “We’ll take the draw, but it’s not a point gained, rather two points lost. We’re not pleased; we’re disappointed. We had an extra man for most of the game and you have to win these types of matches. The ball didn’t want to go in, however, and we have been struggling for goals.”
“Something was missing,” admitted the Sweden international. “We tried to attack and create openings, but it wasn’t enough. We have to do better, look ahead and prepare well for next week against Napoli. We’re still at the wrong end of the table, so there’s work to do. I’m feeling better. I hadn’t played 90 minutes for two months, but I’m fitter now and want to help the team improve.”
