Samp continue Milan prep. Press conference scheduled for Saturday

On pitch number 1 at the Mugnaini, Sampdoria had their second training session of 2020 ahead of their return to league action. The session involved a warm-up, followed by some technical and tactical drills and training matches geared towards the upcoming Milan test.

Edgar Barreto and Andrea Bertolacci trained separately as part of their respective recoveries. Omar Colley was back training with his team-mates, having sat out the last session due to a slight illness.

Meanwhile Alex Ferrari underwent a successful operation, after the anterior cruciate ligament tear suffered in the training session on 27 December. The operation was performed by Maurilio Marcacci and his team in Bologna. Next week the defender will begin his journey towards recovery with the help of the club’s medical team.

Tomorrow, the players will have a morning training session, followed by the news conference with Claudio Ranieri at 13:00 (live updates on Twitter).
