Juventus build-up: morning session in Bogliasco, Ranieri press conference on Tuesday
Claudio Ranieri’s Sampdoria squad were back at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini on Monday morning to continue preparing for their Serie A Week 17 clash against Juventus at Marassi on Wednesday night.
The players involved for all or most of the derby win over Genoa on Saturday night – including Fabio Quagliarella – had a recovery session featuring fitness and technique drills as well as some personalised gym work.
The rest of the players – including Jakub Janktu – trained as normal, kicking things off with a warm-up before moving on to tactics and practice games. Youngsters Davide Canovi, Alessandro Casanova, Andreas Chrysostomou, Adam Obert, Marco Pompetti and Robert Veips joined in with this group.
Albin Ekdal received treatment and physiotherapy, while Edgar Barreto, Bartosz Bereszynski and Andrea Bertolacci continued working on their recovery plans. Federico Bonazzoli had a fitness session as he continues to focus on his own recovery.
Samp will have another morning training session on Tuesday, with Ranieri set to hold his pre-match press conference afterwards at 13:00 CET.
