Training resumes at the Mugnaini, morning session on Wednesday
Sampdoria returned to the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini in Bogliasco on Tuesday to begin preparing for the derby against Genoa on Saturday night.
The session was split into three phases, with the first seeing those less involved in recent games working out in the gym while the rest of the squad warmed up. In the second phase, all of the available players worked through a series of technique drills and tactical exercises with a focus on possession. In the third and final phase, the players that have been most involved in recent week had individual recovery sessions, while the rest of the squad got stuck into practice games.
Gaston Ramirez missed training as a precaution as he has been feeling under the weather, while Edgar Barreto and Andrea Bertolacci continued working on their individual recovery plans. Federico Bonazzoli focused on fitness outside, while Fabio Depaoli concentrated on strength work in the gym before working through his first fitness-based session outside.
Bartosz Bereszynski remains in Poland, where he is completing the first phase of his recovery from surgery, as agreed by the Samp and Poland medical teams.
Doria have a morning session planned for Wednesday.
