Samp resume training with a gym session, double helping on Thursday

Claudio Ranieri’s Sampdoria squad were back at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini in Bogliasco on Wednesday to resume training ahead of Monday night’s trip to take on Cagliari in Sardinia.

The coaching staff split the squad up into two groups, with both working through a warm-up before getting stuck into some strength work in the gym.

Fabio Quagliarella worked with his team-mates for some of the session, training alone for the remainder.

Edgar Barreto, Andrea Bertolacci, Federico Bonazzoli and Fabio Depaoli also received treatment and physiotherapy and did tailored work in the pool as they continued to focus on their respective recovery programmes.

Bartosz Bereszynski is continuing with his rehabilitation work in Poznan, where a member of the Samp medical team is monitoring proceedings.

Doria have a double session planned for tomorrow.
