Lecce build-up: Sampdoria train in two groups, morning session on Tuesday
Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero and sporting director Carlo Osti were at the training ground in Bogliasco on Monday to watch the first of three Doria training sessions ahead of Wednesday night’s visit of Lecce to Marassi.
Those involved for all or most of the Bologna game had a recovery session, while the rest of the squad warmed up in the gym before heading outside for tactical drills, a mini practice game and fitness work.
Karol Linetty worked with the second ground of players for most of the session before switching to individual fitness work to finish off. Young keeper Ivan Saio joined in with the first team to replace Andrea Seculin, who received treatment and physiotherapy and did aerobic work in the gym.
Samp will train on Tuesday morning before staying today on Tuesday night and having a light session on Wednesday morning. Claudio Ranieri won’t hold a press conference but will give an interview with the club’s official media channel.
