Roma build-up: full squad back in Bogliasco, morning session on Friday
It was a dreary afternoon in Bogliasco on Thursday as Sampdoria welcomed back the last of the international contingent ahead of Sunday’s visit of Roma.
Claudio Ranieri had Albin Ekdal back for his first full day of training in Bogliasco following Sweden duty, while Morten Thorsby was also back in group training after completing his recovery programme.
Ranieri led the squad through a fitness-based warm-up, technical drills and a 40-minute mini match, keeping the tempo high and the recovery times short. Julio Chabot and Omar Colley were also back in group training, having previously focused on recovering from international duty. Primavera goalkeeper Lorenzo Avogradi also stepped up.
Karol Linetty continued to work on his individual recovery plan and is already back working outside. Andrea Seculin received treatment and had physiotherapy.
Samp train again on Friday morning.
