Team talk and high-intensity drills in Ranieri’s first session
Rain provided the backdrop as Claudio Ranieri ran his first training session with the team this afternoon.
After speaking to the players in the meeting room, the new coach took them out to pitch 1 where they began preparing for Sunday’s game against Roma at the Stadio Ferraris.
After warming up, the players available did some high-intensity technical drills, before finishing with a training match on a small pitch. Primavera youngsters Lorenzo Avogadri, Tommaso Maggioni and Marco Pompetti joined in with the first team today.
Bartosz Bereszynski and Omar Colley did recovery work after returning from international duty. Morten Thorsby continued with his personalised programme on the pitch while Karol Linetty had treatment and worked in the gym and Andrea Seculin had physio.
The squad will have two sessions on Wednesday.
