Jankto an unused sub as Czech Republic beaten by Northern Ireland

Jakub Jankto was left on the bench as Czech Republic were beaten 3-2 by Northern Ireland in a friendly in Prague on Monday night.

From the high of Friday night’s comeback win over England in Euro 2020 qualifying, Jaroslav Silhavy’s side were brought back down to earth with a bump as Northern Ireland raced into a 3-0 half-time lead (McNair 9 and 40, Evans 23).

The Czechs did rally in the second half, with Darida and Kral hauling the score back to 3-2 with goals in the 67th and 68th minutes, but there was to be no reprieve this time as Northern Ireland held on for the win.
