Four more Samp stars get international call-ups

After Bartosz Bereszynski and Karol Linetty received the call from Poland the other day, another four Sampdoria players have now been called up for international duty by the respective countries.

Albin Ekdal has been named in the Sweden squad for their upcoming Euro 2020 qualifying matches against the Faroe Islands (Torshavn, 5 September) and Norway (Solna, 8 September).

Jakub Jankto will also be involved in European Championship qualifiers with the Czech Republic, who face two away games: Kosovo, in Pristina on 7 September, and Montenegro, in Podgorica on 10 September.

Meanwhile Omar Colley‘s Gambia face a double-header against Angola in the preliminary round of African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup. The first leg will be played at home (Banjul, 6 September) and the return away (Luanda, 10 September).

Julian Chabot will join up with Germany U21s for a friendly against Greece in Zwickau on 5 September and a Euro 2021 qualifying match against Wales in Wrexham on 10 September.
