Andersen isn’t worrying: “We’ve got plenty of time to recover”
Joachim Andersen’s 90-minute battle with Duvan Zapata was a tiring, bruising affair, even for those of us just watching.
The Danish defender, who has already shown himself to be a class player this season, was unlucky not to prevent the Colombian from scoring the opener today.
“I know Duvan is a great player,” the centre-back began, “who is having a great season. He’s tough and strong, but I think I did a good job on him. It’s just a shame I can’t say anything more because we lost.
“I’m disappointed because it’s not the result we wanted. However, we must keep our heads up, it’s not over yet.
“We’ve got 11 games to go and we can put things right,” Andersen continued. “We’re all professionals and we want to get right back to it, starting with a win against Sassuolo. We just need to recover. I want to keep on improving and the best way to do that is to play.”
