Samp hit Udinese for four as Quagliarella equals Serie A record
Sampdoria put four unanswered goals past Udinese in an impressive dismantling on a night Fabio Quagliarella made Serie A history.
The skipper struck the first two goals from the spot to extend his scoring run to 11 consecutive Serie A matches – equalling the record set by Gabriel Batistuta.
Karol Linetty added the third after a brilliantly worked move involving Quagliarella and Riccardo Saponara before Manolo Gabbiadini capped off a night to remember by marking his second debut for Samp with a goal – just minutes after coming on – against the same side he scored his last goal in Samp colours against.
