Giampaolo buoyed after his team does “what it is built to do” in Bologna victory
“This team always tries to play football,” Marco Giampaolo said after the team’s convincing win over Bologna. It is an approach that results from the coach’s absolute conviction in the work he and his players are doing.
He continued: “The team stuck together and stayed in the game, after Bologna equalised. That is what made the difference.
“It was a finely balanced game for both sides, but the team turned up, as they did last week.
“Clearly the score-line allows you to play more freely. The front three were right in the thick of it and made the difference. We were well organised too. It was one of those classic games that you just need to win.
“Gianluca Caprari did well – I was sure that he could put in a good display. We rely on Fabio Quagliarella – it was another great display from him.
“It’s tight in the league table. We’ve got a lot of games coming up and the team that manages to be most consistent will work their way up the table.”
