Nations League: Belec’s Slovenia beaten away in Cyprus

Two games, two defeats. The UEFA Nations League has not proved a happy hunting ground for Vid Belec’s Slovenia so far.

Following the home defeat to Bulgaria earlier in the week, Cyprus piled on the misery for Slovenia with a 2-1 win at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia on Sunday. Beric put the visitors ahead on 54 minutes, but the Cypriots roared back through Sotiriou (69) and a Stojanovic own goal (89) to secure all three points.

Belec played the full 90 minutes for Slovenia.
