Sampdoria and Spezia to play friendly in aid of Genoa bridge victims

Sampdoria and Spezia are set to come together in a special friendly match to be held at the Stadio Picco in Spezia on Saturday 8 September. Kick-off in the game will be at 18:00 CEST.

The match will be the eighth edition of the “Mattia e Ilaria” Trophy, which is dedicated to two Spezia fans whose lives were tragically cut short.

Yet the match will also be a chance to raise funds for the victims of the 43 people who died as a result of the recent collapse of the Morandi Bridge in Genoa. All proceeds from the game will be donated to the campaign. Moreover, the players will wear special jerseys for the game which will then be auctioned off on CharityStars to boost the fundraiser.

Tickets are available at €5 for seats in the Curva, €10 for the Distinti section and €15 for the Tribuna area.
