Quagliarella: “Amazing feeling to pull that off in front of the Sud”

Fabio Quagliarella doesn’t do ordinary goals. His career is a catalogue of sumptuous strikes most people wouldn’t even attempt. And his stunning backheeled flick against Napoli is already a goal of the season contender.

“I only had a split second to decide,” the skipper told Samp TV after the game. “If I’d tried to side-foot it, I wouldn’t have got it on target so I thought I’d try a backheel – and caught it really sweetly! It turned out to be a brilliant goal. Pulling that off in front of the Gradinata Sud was an amazing feeling.”
