First run-out for Saponara and Tonelli, double session planned for Wednesday

Riccardo Saponara and Lorenzo Tonelli had their first taste of training at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini on Tuesday following the completion of their medicals.

Both players are linking up with Marco Giampaolo for the second time following their spell together at Empoli.

The group kicked things off with a warm-up of fitness and technique drills, followed by more fitness work with the ball and a practice game to finish. Youngsters Simone Giordano and Daouda Peeters joined in with the first-team squad.

Gaston Ramirez took full part in training, while Nicola Murru trained separately on the pitches, Dennis Praet had a split session in the gym and pool and Vasco Regini continued to work on his own recovery programme.

Doria will have a double helping of training on Wednesday.
