Quagliarella and Sala return to training ahead of Coppa Italia bow

With Sampdora’s season-opener against Viterbese fast approaching, Marco Giampaolo gathered his troops at the training ground on Friday afternoon to further hone preparations for Sunday’s Coppa Italia encounter.

Working on pitch 2, the Blucerchiati first focused on explosive speed before moving on to technical and tactical drills.

Fabio Quagliarella and Jacopo Sala rejoined their team-mates for today’s session while Gabriele Rolando and Valerio Verre followed individual programmes.

The squad will be back on the pitch on Saturday afternoon for their second-last workout before they host Viterbese at the Marassi.
