Defrel joins squad for last full day of training in Temu
Sampdoria’s latest signing Gregoire Defrel joined up with the squad just in time to catch the last double training session in Val Camonica on Friday.
Having arrived late on Thursday night – and after the customary introductions and photos – the French striker was able to get down to work with his new team-mates.
The morning began with some warm-up exercises in the gym and on the pitch, before the players were split into two groups. The midfielders and forwards worked on finishing while the defenders were guided through drills practising moving as a unit.
After lunch the lads did some fitness work before moving onto drills where the focus was on building play.
Antonio Romei and sporting director Carlo Osti attended both training sessions.
On Saturday morning the Blucerchiati will have their final workout at the training ground in Temu. After lunch the team will leave Ponte di Legno and head to Trento for the friendly match against Parma. Kick-off at the Stadio Briamasco is at 18:00 CEST.
