Back to work ahead of Napoli

The team reported back to the training ground on Tuesday to begin preparations for next Sunday’s visit of Napoli.

The players who played most of the game against Sassuolo had a recovery session with work split between the pitch, the gym and the pool while the remainder of the squad were put through a regular session involving a warm-up, technical drills and some small-sided games.

Ricky Alvarez and Gianluca Caprari joined in with the second group, as well as Primavera youngsters Ognjen Stijepovic and Andrea Tessiore.

Fabio Quagliarella had treatment while Nicola Murru and Duvan Zapata pushed on with their individual recovery programmes.

The next training session is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
