Giampaolo focused on recovering for second Roma clash

Marco Giampaolo says his primary concern after Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with Roma is making sure his players recover in time to face the same opposition again on Sunday.

Speaking ahead of the Blucerchiati’s visit to the capital, the coach said: “The last two matches have taken a lot out of us so we’ll make the most of all the time available to us and make our final decisions tomorrow.”

Dennis Praet won’t be involved after suffering a muscle injury against the Giallorossi in midweek and Giampaolo revealed he will have to do without the “irreplaceable” midfielder for a while.

“He offers us something different to all the other players,” the coach explained. “[Edgar] Barreto and [Valerio] Verre can play in his position but they have slightly different attributes so we’ll just have to make do until he recovers.”
