Bereszynski: “Focus needs to be absolute for Cagliari”
Bartosz Bereszynski called for Sampdoria to concentrate on Saturday’s trip to Cagliari after they were beaten 2-1 by Lazio at Marassi on Sunday evening.
“It’s a shame and we’re disappointed, because we played really well for 70 minutes,” said the Pole after the final whistle. “It wasn’t enough and we were a little unfortunate to concede the two goals. We’re still five points ahead of Fiorentina and Bologna and that’s where we want to stay.”
After what has been an impressive start to the season from Samp, Bereszynski revealed that the Blucerchiati are indeed aiming for European football next season.
“Our objective is to qualify for the Europa League,” he admitted. “That said, to get to where we want to be we need to take it one game at a time. Right now, we need to be 100% focused on the Cagliari match.”
