Zapata recalled to Colombia squad for World Cup qualifiers

Colombia head coach Jose Pekerman has named Duvan Zapata in his squad for Los Cafeteros’ pair of World Cup qualifiers next month. Zapata’s impressive showings for the Blucerchiati have put him firmly back in the coach’s plans after he made his competitive debut against Bolivia on 23 March 2017.

Colombia currently sit third behind Brazil and Uruguay and travel to Barranquilla where they face Paraguay on Thursday 5 October, before a trip to Peru’s Estadio Nacional in Lima the following Tuesday.
