Strinic on a mission to win over Samp’s ‘football-mad’ fans

Ivan Strinic is a Sampdoria player at last. The Croatian left-back, a long-term target for the Blucerchiati, joined from Napoli on deadline day and has already set his sights on winning over the fans and the president.

“I’m really happy to join Sampdoria. I’d heard about the club’s interest and it’s nice to be wanted,” the 30-year-old told Samp TV.

“I know the fans are mad about football here and I like that a lot.

“I want to win them over by giving my all for this club. I hope we can have a great season together.”
