Morning training divided between gym and on-the-field work, Thursday session behind closed doors

Under cloudy skies in Bogliasco, the Sampdoria players trained in groups ahead of Saturday’s home match against Torino. The Blucerchiati – bolstered by the presence of youth players Ibourahima Balde, Denis Baumgartner, Jacopo Cioce, Maxime Leverbe, Alex Pastor, Andrea Tessiore and Michal Tomic – divided their time between technical and tactical drills on the main pitch, and strength work in the gym.

Edgar Barreto and Emiliano Viviano went through individual training sessions, while Luis Muriel and Jacopo Sala continued their respective recovery programmes on the field. From Thursday afternoon, training will take place behind closed doors.
