Giampaolo warns: “Let’s not lose the credibility we’ve gained”
Marco Giampaolo is keen for his Samp side to get back on track after last week’s reverse against Sassuolo but knows they’ll be put to the test by a Crotone side fighting tooth and nail for their Serie A survival on Sunday.
“We must be clever enough to put ourselves in our opponents’ shoes. They’ve run into a bit of form and they’ve never stopped believing they can they can beat the drop. We know how motivated they’ll be and we mustn’t get this match wrong.
“We lost last weekend and didn’t play to our usual level. We must show respect for our profession, for the fans and for the club. We could learn a lot from this game.
“Crotone will come here and play with tremendous determination and focus. Another problem is that Nicola’s team play a different type of football to the sides we’ve come up against recently, so we’ll need to smart enough to adjust accordingly.
“We’ve done really well up to now but we mustn’t lose the credibility we’ve earned.”
