Group sessions in Bogliasco, full squad training on Thursday

Marco Giampaolo split his Sampdoria squad into two groups for training on Wednesday, with the goalkeepers and defenders working in the morning and the midfielders and forwards following up in the afternoon.

With Sunday’s visit of Crotone looming large on the horizon, the Blucerchiati – who were joined by academy players Ibourahima Balde, Denis Baumgartner, Pietro Cavagnaro, Jacopo Cioce, Gergely Hutvagner, Andrea Tessiore, Michal Tomic and Giacomo Vrioni – worked out in the gym before focusing on tactics and practice games on the main pitch.

Fabio Quagliarella has a planned recovery session, while Luis Muriel and Jacopo Sala continued working on their recovery plans.

The squad will come back together again for an afternoon session on Thursday.
