Muriel injury: tests confirm hamstring strain

Luis Muriel underwent tests at Laboratorio Albaro in Genoa on Saturday which revealed he has suffered a hamstring strain in his right thigh.

The player will immediately begin a recovery programme and have regular check-ups during his rehabilitation.

The striker was forced off in the first half of Colombia’s 1-0 World Cup qualifying win against Bolivia on Thursday.
