Schick back for Friday’s session, friendly against Lugano on Saturday

Patrik Schick has returned. As agreed with the Czech FA, the centre forward missed the San Mario game to return to Bogliasco for treatment and physio with the aim of being fit and available as soon as possible. While the striker was in the treatment room, the rest of the squad – along with the Primavera’s Pietro Cavagnaro – were beginning their training session. They worked in the gym before focusing on technical and tactical drills.

After feeling a bit under the weather yesterday, Christian Puggioni was back in training today, albeit only for part of the session. Angelo Palombo meanwhile is still suffering with a bout of flu. Lucas Torreira and Emiliano Viviano trained separately. Sampdoria meet Lugano in a friendly at 11:00 tomorrow. The Swiss outfit have former Samp hero Mirko Conte on the staff.
