Simic joins team-mates as Samp work in groups on Wednesday
Sampdoria new boy Lorenco Simic joined in with his new team-mates on Wednesday as the Blucerchiati pushed on with preparations for Sunday’s visit to AC Milan.
Marco Giampaolo split his squad up according to position for specific work in the morning and afternoon, combining a gym programme with tactical drills.
In the first session of the day the coach and his staff took the midfielders and forwards out onto the artificial pitch, while after lunch they worked on the top pitch with the defensive players, including our deadline-day signing from Hajduk Split.
A number of Primavera youngsters were called up to bolster the ranks: Jacopo Cioce, Giacomo Ferrazzo, Giovanni Gilardi, Alex Pastor, Andrea Tessiore, Michal Tomic, Giacomo Vrioni and U17 goalie Gergely Hutvagner.
Meanwhile Jacopo Sala continued with his recovery programme.
The team will train again on Thursday afternoon – the last session of the week open to the public.
