22-man squad for Atalanta game: Barreto back, Alvarez out
Sampdoria trained in Bogliasco on Saturday afternoon before climbing aboard the team bus and heading to Bergamo, where they’re due to face Atalanta on Sunday evening (18:00 CET kick-off).
Marco Giampaolo divided the squad up into two groups based on their individual needs, with the focus on recovery work following Thursday’s cup tie against Roma and specific tactical drills in preparation for the match against Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.
Edgar Barreto makes the trip to Bergamo after coming through his first session with the rest of the team but Ricky Alvarez won’t be involved due to a knee problem.
Stanley Amuzie, Carlos Carbonero, Jacopo Sala and Emiliano Viviano also remain unavailable.

Goalkeepers: Krapikas, Puggioni, Tozzo.

Midfielders: Alvarez, Barreto, Cigarini, Djuricic, Fernandes, Linetty, Praet, Torreira.
