President Ferrero visits as training resumes, Linetty already back with the group

Sampdoria president Massimo Ferrero was at the Centro Sportivo Gloriano Mugnaini in Bogliasco on Tuesday afternoon as Doria had their first session of the week ahead of Sunday’s visit of Sassuolo.

Karol Linetty was already back with the rest of the squad, having watched Poland’s 1-1 friendly draw with Slovenia from the bench after starting the World Cup 2018 qualifier in Romania.

Bruno Fernandes, Luis Muriel, Pedro Pereira, Patrik Schick and Milan Skriniar were still away with their respective national teams, but Christian Puggioni, Angelo Palombo and Matias Silvestre linked back up with the group following fitness issues.

Carlos Carbonero and Daniel Pavlovic continued working on their recovery plans, while Emiliano Viviano received treatment and focused on strengthening his wrist. Jacopo Sala had an individual session in the pool and out on the pitch.

Marco Giampaolo will lead his squad in a double session on Wednesday.
