23-man squad announced, Samp to have audience with Pope Francis tomorrow
Marco Giampaolo has named a 23-man squad for Sunday evening’s match against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
The announcement came after the Blucerchiati’s final training session in Bogliasco, with the players warming up before focusing on tactical drills and practice games.
Carlos Carbonero, Angelo Palombo and Daniel Pavlovic all continued working on their respective recovery plans, while Emiliano Viviano received treatment on this wrist injury and Stanley Amuzie had a tailored session.
The squad will travel to Rome this evening before training again tomorrow morning. In the afternoon, the squad will have a private audience with Pope Francis at the Vatican. The Blucerchiati will then travel to Florence.
