Castan and the pursuit of happiness: “I’m at Samp to find joy again”

Leandro Castan has been brought to the club in order to add quality and experience to Marco Giampaolo’s backline, but also to get over the injuries that have dogged him in recent years and rediscover his true form.

“As soon as they knew of my move to Sampdoria back home in Brazil,” Castan said exclusively to Samp TV, “they all told me that I was joining the club where Toninho Cerezo made history. I hope to do well and repay the faith the club has shown in me, win the affection of the fans and get back into the national team.”
