Red return: UC Sampdoria 2021/22 third kit revealed

With the 2020/21 season almost over, Sampdoria are already looking to the future.

On Wednesday night, in the match between Sampdoria and Spezia, Doria unveiled their brand-new red 2021/22 third kit. The colour – a special one for all our fans – is a nod back to the 1980s, to the Samp of Gianluca Vialli and Roberto Mancini and latterly the era of Ruud Gullit, David Platt and Sinisa Mihajlovic.

The design of the new third kit for the 2021/22 season is inspired by the kit worn by the team 30 years ago in the 1981/82 season. It has a polo collar and the Blucerchiati colours in a vertical strip on the right side, against the red background. The club colours reappear at the back of the neck, along with the phrase La maglia più bella del mondo [The most beautiful shirt in the world].

The Macron Hero logo in white is positioned on the right breast, while the UC Sampdoria crest has pride of place on the left breast. Sitting slightly lower down, in the centre, is the Cross of St. George – the symbol of Genoa and an ever-present on all Samp jerseys.

White detailing features on the sleeves and the bottom of the jersey, while the kit is completed with red shorts and socks. The jerseys are slim fit, while micromesh inserts ensure perfect breathability.

The third kit is already available to purchase on the Sampdoria and Macron websites, as well as at Sampdoria Point, Macron Store Genoa and all Macron Stores.
