Samp for People: Doria team up with Eataly to help San Martino and Galliera hospitals
Samp for People – the club’s campaign designed to help in the fight against COVID-19 – is set to continue as the Blucerchiati team up with Eataly to help prepare and deliver meals to the San Martino and Galliera hospitals in Genoa.
The aim of the campaign is to provide support to the doctors, nurses and other healthcare workers that have been showing such professionalism and commitment over the last few weeks of the pandemic.
Following the donations made to the San Martino hospital by the club, the coaching staff and the players, Samp are now working with Eataly, Icam (chocolate), La Granda (meat), La Molisana (pasta), OrtoBra (vegetables) and Parmalat-Latte Oro (milk) to guarantee the provision of 610 meals per day to the San Martino (450) and Galliera (160) hospitals. The number of meals has been doubled since the service was set up, thanks to the active support – in terms of logistics and funding – provided by Sampdoria.
Meanwhile, IBSA Italia – Doria’s back jersey sponsor – will provide staff working on the initiative with 250 bottles of sanitiser.
