Yoshida joins from Southampton

President Massimo Ferrero and U.C. Sampdoria are pleased to announce that Japanese defender Maya Yoshida has joined the club on loan from Southampton F.C. The transfer includes an option for Sampdoria to make the signing permanent.

The 32-year-old – born in Nagasaki, Japan on 24 August 1988 – has penned a contract that runs until 30 June 2024.
